The following privacy statement reiterates our policy.
STATEMENT ON GATHERING AND USE OF VISITOR INFORMATION:
Framing Success, Inc. (“Framing Success”) intends to gather and/or use personal information from site visitors consensually. Given that user information is gathered on the web in a variety of ways and forms, this bears some explanation.
Web sites can gather visitor information in three ways, Consensually, Actively and Passively.
Consensually: Information is provided by the visitor to a site by entry of the information into on-screen order form, query or email questionnaire. This may include your name and purchase request, or more detailed information.
Actively: The site takes some affirmative action to “flag” the visitor with a unique identifier (the current technology that accomplishes this is called a “cookie”), and when that visitor visits the site, the site host can specifically identify that user and observe that user’s movement and tendencies. The user is “flagged” by the web host anonymously; meaning that the host is aware of the user’s browsing activities, but not the personal identity of the user. However, if the host has previously gathered personal user information Consensually, the host can link that information to “cookie” information and then be able to identify a visitor personally. Web sites that create personalized content (such as stock portfolios or issue-specific news) do so by gathering your personal information, tying it to a “cookie” and customizing your page each time you return.
Passively: Without any affirmative action by a website host, web traffic information is gathered in a very rudimentary fashion. Web access “logs” gather the identity of a user back to the originating internet service domain (for example, “aol.com” for persons browsing via America Online); however, the identity of the visitor cannot be determined, and a returning visitor cannot be identified as such. Access logs can be used to measure popularity of a site, its individual pages, or its individual components.
In summation, when Framing Success indicates that it intends to gather or use personal information from site visitors, it means that Framing Success will only collect information Consensually, and not: (i) collect Information Actively by passing of reading “cookies” or by use of similar functions, and (ii) collect and use traffic data collected Passively. However, upon request to Framing Success, a user may opt-out from receiving future mailings from Framing Success. Opt-out requests should be forwarded to fsinfo@framingsuccess.com or call us toll-free at 1-800-677-3726 between 8:30am and 6:00pm. EST Monday through Friday. Moreover, Framing Success will actively monitor the website and will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information of minors without prior parental consent.
